The Miami Dolphins Head Coach Tony Sparano selects the Doral Broncos 140's as his Team of The Week.

This week one of the Miami Xtreme League’s best teams received a special honor. The Doral Broncos 140 lb. team (Blitz Top 100 Ranking: #1) was honored as Miami Dolphins’ Head Coach Tony Sparano’s “Team of the Week,” during the Monday Night Football game against the Jets on October 12, 2009.

The Broncos were selected from a host of teams who submitted their football credentials and an essay making their case to be chosen as the youth football “Team of the Week.”

The Miami Dolphins and Publix have teamed up to celebrate youth and high school football throughout South Florida with Coach Sparano. Teams of all ages and ability levels are eligible to qualify, including tackle, flag, cheerleading and high school teams. This unique experience was rewarded to the Broncos for excellence both on the field and in the community.

Doral Cheerleading Commissioner Jackie Perez said "it was an incredible experience. We were right there on the field with the team during the pregame warm up. It was really amazing."

Before the game the Broncos warmed up with the Dolphins and were allowed to run out of the tunnel as they were introduced to a capacity crowd. They also took pictures on the field with the Dolphins and enjoyed the unique experience of witnessing a Monday night game. The Blitz salutes the Doral Broncos and congratulates them on their success.
