The Company
Blitz Media Group is a sports media and marketing company based in South Florida. The company was founded in 2003 by husband and wife team, Sandra and Thomas Fanakos, the founders presently own and manage Blitz Media Group today. Their passion for the game of football leads them to create The Blitz News, a weekly youth football publication that took the South Florida youth football community by storm.
Over the past four years The Blitz News has established itself as South Florida’s #1amateur sports publication.
In South Florida, youth football has a very strong following and the popularity of the sport has a profound impact on families in many communities. Blitz Media Group recognized this social connection and because of our innovative combination if direct-in-park distribution and our in-depth coverage of South Florida’s prolific youth football culture, the Blitz News became an immediate hit in the community.
The Blitz News is a weekly and seasonal publication with an editorial focus South Florida’s youth football culture. The purpose of The Blitz News is to share and inform the community of what is happening with teams in youth football leagues across South Florida. The aim of The Blitz News is to inform, educate, encourage, and boost the popularity of youth football in South Florida. The Blitz News provides South Florida’s youth football community of players, fans, coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters a much needed medium that focuses on their passion for the game of football.
Currently The Blitz News provides weekly coverage of over 900 youth football teams spanning across many cities and neighborhoods in South Florida. Our team coverage spans from West Palm Beach County all the way South to Key West and across to Naples, in Collier County on west coast of Florida.
